Alya Impian is a wholly owned Bumiputera company that was registered on 09/10/2003 under the sole proprietorship entity, the firm’s capital employed stood at RM70,000 only. The proprietor of the firm is Puan Maznah Ab Halim. Her mission in setting up the cookies and cakes shop is to boost up Bumiputera participation in business.

Alya Impian also wants to be a reputable Bumiputera firm in manufacturing and trading of cookies, cakes, breads, pizzas, donuts, hampergift cookies and etc. “ Service oriented and fresh from oven “ is the motto of the firm.

Alya Impian principal business activity is involved in bakery business that comprises of preparing, baking and selling of cakes, biscuits, cookies, breads, pastry and other related bakery products. The business is located at No. 11A, Lorong Bertam Indah 33, Taman Bertam Indah, 13200 Kepala Batas, Pulau Pinang.

Part of that, Alya Impian also has registered it business in supplying of hardware, furniture, office equipment, electrical appliances, sports equipments, cloth and souvenirs, landscaping, building maintenance, supply of food, cafeteria and the most principal business is cookies, cakes and breads manufacturer and trading.

1.1 Management Structure

Alya Impian management team comprises of qualified and experienced personnel who are capable and committed towards the company’s growth.

Puan Maznah Ab Halim, as the owner of the firm is solely concentrate in preparing and manufacturing of cookies, pizzas, donuts, breads and etc.

She is being assisted by her eldest son, Mohd Nazreen in day-to-day business. Nazreen is in charge of marketing and distributing of their products to their loyal customers. He’s currently pursuing his study as an Executive Chef in Kuala Lumpur and will be the successor of the firm.

2.0 MARKET AND RISK ANALYSIS

2.1 Business/Market Outlook and Prospect

With concentration mainly to the food base products i.e. bread, cookies, cake, buns and pizzas, the company is able to sustain in the market despite of the recession. Furthermore, food based industry has been proven to be recession proof. Human being are required the necessity needs in life and part of the need is from food based. The business is promising as it’s a food based industry.
